Baby Coming Soon – Mizbeli and Henderson

‘Twas a hot, hot, hot Sunday afternoon that the stunning Mizbeli and her attentive “father-to-be” husband got down to have some photos taken at the Texas Rangers Spring Training ground out in Surprise. We then went for a quick stop over to the desert for some fun cactus-scape shots! With Erick, their little baby coming soon, we put the bump on display and started snap-snapping away!

The lovely couple were in great spirits and were really excited to utilize the baseball field as the main stage for the day. It started getting serious when cap went on and Mizbeli stepped up to the mound, brushing up ready for some “PITCHER-perfect” poses!

We then headed out Westward towards the White Tank Mountains looking for the idyllic spot to get the dry desert shots in. Whilst we got some on-point photos in the desert, the street that led us out that way also proved to be a great addition to the film gallery!

Both Mizbeli and Henderson come from the faraway land of Venezuela so the aim was to have some “bump-awesome” photos to send back to their family back home. And I think that is exactly what was achieved! Through the severe heat, and many water-breaks, taking photos for this lovely couple was genuinely a pleasure. With their relaxed, yet “give-it-a-go” attitude made this Sunday a Funday for sure.

Enjoy!

Roger the Bullador!

It’s so hard to resist taking pictures of Roger, my gorgeous Bullador! What a top-posing, canine model he is … as you can see below. With his tuxedo chest, almighty tail that whips so aggressively, and a giant head , he truly is a fabulous beast who just loves, loves, loves! It’s not just his looks that get all the attention, but Roger is also a bit of a smarty pants that has a few tricks to show-off (especially when treats are at the ready).

Roger will be three years old on May first. Oscar, my fiance, picked him up after seeing an ad on Craigslist. He got to see Roger’s mum, who is a yellow lab, and his dad, who is a American Bulldog. With this combo, you obviously get Roger, but instead of being labelled as a “Mutt”, Roger is a BULLADOR! Personally, I had never heard of such a breed, and thought it was made up, but there are actual Bullador breeders out there. Who knew?!

I hope you enjoy checking out some of his shots below … and adore him as much as I do!

Must add that this big puppy is an absolute snuggler, and I don’t think he realises how big he really is as he tries to perch his butt on my knees daily, with the aim of sitting on my lap. He gives the most almighty hugs as soon as you arrive home, with his paws reaching up to my shoulders!

All in all, I have a bad-ass dog!

Fun at the Wildlife World Zoo in Surprise, AZ

Surprise, Arizona is a relatively new City (established in 1960), but it holds one of my favourite places to go visit – the wonderful and fun “Wildlife World Zoo“. Plus it’s about 10 minutes from my house which is very handy too!

One thing that stands out is the openness and more natural-looking habitats that exhibits the animals, whilst still allowing spectators to get up and close to check out these non-domestic critters. The zoo doesn’t offer such a commercial flair to bring in the crowds, committing more to the Wildlife aspect as in its name, but there are definitely attractions that make the Zoo fun for all – in such instances that checking out the animals wasn’t enough! I personally love to feed the giraffe … and they love to be fed too … great combo if you ask me. But nothing beats the kid in me and getting myself in that petting zoo!!!!! The cuteness of the goats, deer and llamas head-butting at my legs and nibbling at my clothes is just my thing. I can’t help myself begging my fiance to take a snapshot as the baby goats jump on my back.

By the way, did I mention that there are kangaroos at the zoo – yes, KANGAROOS! I had never seen kangaroos prior to my first visit so I’m always excited to see the bounding fellas.

Surprise zoo also has a skyride which takes you from one side of the zoo to the other. We indulged in this on my first visit due to my low-tolerance to the pain in my feet caused my these silly sandals I chose to wear that day. Comfy shoes that aren’t shy to get a tad mucky are a must, as the zoo paths are dirt trails.

I have never been bored on my visits to the Zoo and hope to get back soon with a camera thats battery doesn’t die 10 minutes into my adventure … please check out some of my pix below (with some help with my new “flare” photography app) …
